We’ve put together a little memo to help you be good on our island and get things done to make it better.

Viirelaid memo – Summer

What to bring?

  • Sauna towel – As we have to wash all our laundry in mainland and then transport it back to the island. Then we ask you to take with your own towel to help us. We can rent towels also put it costs 3eur for you.
  • Flip Flop / Crocs – With them its better to go swimming as we don’t have sandy beach here. They are also good in sauna area.
  • We have a unisex sauna, so please take swimming wear with you.
  • Waterproof jacket – it rarely rains in summer but as you have to take boat ride here so we recommend to take a jacket with you.

What you should know?

  • Own alcohol from the mainland is not allowed and we would ask you to follow this rule.
  • The sauna is open until 23:00 for your and our safety.
  • Breakfast is from 9am to 11.00am .
  • We have electricity until 3am so your smartphones won’t charge at night .
  • 4G internet is very good and available all over the island .

Viirelaid memo – Autumn/Winter

What to bring?

  • Two sets of shoes – you may get your feet wet because the roads are not paved or rather say – there is no roads at all. As winter weather can be rainy or snowy, then rubber boots or winter boots can be helpful for you .
  • Waterproof jacket.
  • Hat – the wind can be quite vicious .
  • Warm clothes – because we are still away from the central heating area with all the comforts, that’s just the case .
  • FlipFlops on the sauna because the floor in the sauna area can be cold and you would be more comfortable then .
  • Slippers – good to have as wood-heated floor heating is not yet designed.
  • Nightwear – Some cooler people have said it would be good to remind people to bring along too .
